Kislak Collection at the Library of Congress. This ongoing exhibition has three major themes: Pre-Contact America; Explorations and Encounters; and Aftermath of the Encounter. Like the Jay I. Kislak Collection itself, the exhibition provides glimpses into the complex and fascinating past of the Americas. It provides insight into indigenous cultures, the drama of the encounters between Native American and European explorers and settlers, and the pivotal changes caused by the meeting of the American and European worlds.
The city of Cihuatán was once a great Mayan centre that flourished in what is now ElSalvador in Central America. Since 1975, Dr Karen Olsen Bruhns of San Francisco State University has been excavating at the site. Supermarket, in El Salavdor, are 26% more expensive than markets on average.
San Miguel is only actively farming 50% of its possible arable land..
They also went on to list crime rates per municipality (The national homicide rate is 60.9 murders per 100,000 inhabitants. The most violent municipality is Quezaltepeque with a homicide rate of 175 per 100,000.)
